Bridge
The Bridge page connects Lumunarr to your Hue bridge. You'll land here automatically after signing in for the first time. The Clients, Server and Settings pages stay disabled until a bridge is linked, since they all need to talk to it.
Finding Your Bridge
Click Search to look for Hue bridges on your network. Lumunarr lists every bridge it finds.
Select the bridge you want Lumunarr to use.
If you have more than one bridge and aren't sure which is which, the bridge ID is printed on the underside of each bridge.
Bridge Not Found
If no bridges are found, you can enter the bridge's IP address yourself. You can usually find it in the Hue app or in your router's list of connected devices.
If Lumunarr runs in Docker without host network mode, it can't search your local network directly and relies on Hue's cloud discovery service instead. If that doesn't find your bridge, enter its IP address manually.
Linking the Bridge
After choosing a bridge, click Press Me. You then have 30 seconds to press the round link button on top of the Hue bridge.
When you see Lumunarr is linked to Hue Bridge, you're done. If the button wasn't pressed in time, click Try Again.
Removing the Bridge
To unlink the bridge, go back to the Bridge page and click Remove Bridge.
Bridge IP Address Changes
Every 15 minutes, Lumunarr checks that the bridge is still at the IP address it was linked with. If it isn't, Lumunarr searches the network for a bridge with the same bridge ID and updates the address automatically.
Giving your Hue bridge a static IP address (a DHCP reservation in your router) is still recommended, but it isn't required.
